The Occupational Safety and Health Act Chapter II Article 6 (I) defines:
6. To prevent the hazards posed by high-pressure gas.
Article 23
Equipment specified as potentially dangerous referred to in Article 16 Paragraph 1 of the Act means the following equipment that has a specific volume exceeding the threshold specified by the central competent authority:
1. Boilers;
2. Pressure vessels;
3. Specified high-pressure equipment;
4. High-pressure vessels;
5. Other potentially dangerous equipment specified and announced by the central competent authority.
Regulations for Safety Inspection of Existing Hazardous Machines and Equipment with the purpose:
- Approval of manufacturers, type inspection, manufacturing inspection, import, modification and initial conformity assessment
The "HSME Safety Inspection Rules is the latest amended version of "Regulations for Safety Inspection of Hazardous Machines and Equipment":
Chapter 1 - General Principles
Article 4) These Regulations shall apply to the dangerous devices with capacity as shown below:
1. Boilers
2. Pressure vessels
3. Special equipment for highpressure gases
4. Vessels used for high-pressure gases
Chapter 3 - Dangerous equipment:
Section 1 - Boilers
Section 2 - Pressure vessels
Section 3 - Special equipment for high-pressure gases
Section 4 - Vessels for high-pressure gases
